What makes a strong Wi-Fi password
A WPA2/WPA3 password can be 8 to 63 characters. The longer and more varied, the more unfeasible a brute-force attack becomes. For a home network, 16 random characters already make cracking impractical. What matters is that it is random, not a word or a date.
The password is generated with
crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser's cryptographic generator. Nothing is sent or stored: close the tab and it is gone.After generating
Open your router's admin panel (see router IPs and logins) and change the Wi-Fi password. While you are there, also change the panel's admin password.
