Real measurement through Cloudflare's test server. The test packets travel over your real connection.

How the test works

Your browser downloads and uploads real blocks of data to and from Cloudflare's measurement server and times the transfer. Download is the receiving speed (streaming, downloads, browsing); upload is the sending speed (video calls, backups, sending files); ping is the response time, which matters for games and video calls.

Mbps is megabits per second. To find how many megabytes per second (MB/s) that is, divide by 8: a 300 Mbps plan downloads about 37.5 MB/s. See the download time calculator.

Why was my result lower than the plan I pay for?

Wi-Fi far from the router, other devices using the network, the cable, peak hours and the device itself all have an effect. For the number closest to your plan, test over a cable, near the router and with no other active downloads.
